Sophie has significant experience in a wide range of transactional matters (including in private acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures) and of general corporate and commercial matters, advising small, medium and large businesses over a broad range of sectors.
In particular, Sophie has sector specialism in corporate real estate, having acted for a number of real estate investors, asset managers and property funds in the acquisition and disposal of special purpose vehicles both on and off shore as across a number of asset classes including commercial office space, healthcare premises and care homes.
Sophie is admitted in Scotland and is a notary public.
- Advising the seller of Crerar Hotel Group in the sale of the company (which owned a portfolio of seven 4- and 5-star hotels across Scotland) to Blantyre Capital and Fairtree Hotel Investment.
- Advising ARA Dunedin on its acquisition of London & Scottish Property Investments.
- Advising Miller Homes Limited on its acquisition of Wallace Land and Investment Management Limited.
- Acting for Invstec Bank plc in acquisitions and disposals by it of certain corporate real estate assets and interests.
- Advising Wheatley Housing Group in relation to its interest in a joint venture, City Building (Glasgow) LLP with Glasgow City Council.
- Acting for the sellers of family owned business, Capital Documents Solutions in its sale to Agilico.
- Acting for TMC Pharma on the £18m investment into the company by LDC.
- Acting for the sellers of Choose Water Limited, a biodegradable packaging development company, on its sale to HP, Inc.
