Isabella is a Solicitor in our Employment team, based in Edinburgh. She advises on a wide range of employment matters.
This includes providing practical guidance on redundancy procedures, capability concerns and absence management. She also frequently assists with drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks and advice notes to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
Isabella also has experience in managing and defending employment tribunal claims, representing employers in matters involving unfair dismissal and discrimination.
She also – working closely with colleagues in the Corporate team – advises on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions. This includes, undertaking due diligence and advising on matters relating to TUPE.
- Part of the core team for a UK University, advising on cross-border employment issues.
- Advising and assisting a client in the energy sector through a redundancy process, including negotiating a large volume of settlement agreements.
- Assisting in defending a claim against a bank for unfair dismissal and discrimination raised by a former employee, including drafting the relevant forms and guiding the client through the procedure.
